What is House in the Basement?
The House in the Basement Youth Café (HiTB) is a welcoming and free space for young people aged 11-17. This vibrant facility was brought to life through the active involvement of local youth, and Sevenoaks Youth Council a key role in its creation. They continue to be deeply involved in its development.
House in the Basement is conveniently located in the basement of the Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks Town Centre, HiTB offers a safe and engaging environment where young people can connect, relax, and grow. HitB operates within the Sevenoaks Town Council principles enabling young people to engage in informal education in a relaxed environment, develop positive relationships and increase confidence in their personal and social skills.
HitB is inclusive environment and ensures the availability of access for young people regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexual identity and, or disability.
